Rob Emmerson’s SEO Blog

Well the Blogging bug bit, so here I am to ramble on about how to generate traffic to your site. This seems to be the key to success in any online venture, and being new it is my current fascination. I am researching SEO, and trying to decide on a niche market for myself.

I think I am going to concentrate on SEO, and develop a top 25 or 50 list of real online business opportunities to suggest to my readers. The key seems to be promotion, promotion, promotion.

In my research I have come across some interesting and very helpful people, most recently Bryan from one mans goal. He writes a blog about Blogging. He has a very interesting story, and has found quick success in the world of “making money online.” He is where I want to be in six months, he started last June, and has had great success. Anyway he has given me some advice on how to get going, so I thought I would let all 54 of you know about his site.

My publishing efforts have paid off. I wrote an article that was published on Associated Content, titled “Can You Make a Full Time Income Online” please click and read, as I will also get paid for readers.

I must say it is not my best writing, I only wrote one draft. It was pretty much my thoughts on the subject as they poured out of my head, much like this Blog… The article received a 4 star rating so far (out of 5) and has one comment from another writer, who by the way also visited the Blog, my ultimate goal from writing the article in the first place.

Hey thanks for reading, my traffic is starting to climb, and I now have visitors from all over the world. Here is a screen shot of my Google Analytics, showing where my visits are coming from. Not impressive I know but it is fun to watch it increase.

(hopefully the screen shot shows up, unfortunately it isn’t in the preview, I guess that I need to figure that out :(, but you know who you are and where you came from…)

So just some random thoughts for a lazy Sunday morning, I am off to do my grocery shopping and then sailing on a beautiful sunny day on Tampa Bay.
