A Word About eBay Auctions

I have been reading lately about the changes eBay is making to their feedback rules, and fee structure. It seems to have quite a few people up in arms over the changes. After I have had a chance to think about them, I think that they are good changes overall. Fees have been reduced, problem sellers are restricted and some are talking about leaving eBay and selling else ware.

I have been reading about eCrater and several other auction sites that have been popping up. None of the other sites have the traffic that eBay has, so I don’t think they are viable alternatives at this time. I am going to the other sites and registering if it is free. This will lock in my user name and if the sites start to get more popular I will be in position to start trading immediately. So far I have only set up my eCrater site, and put one product on to see what happens. The format is almost like the eBay store I will probably add all of my eBay listings to this site, I figure it cant hurt to be out there in more than one place.

I have some ideas about future information products that I am kicking around. I want to put together a book of “green Cleaning” recipes. I have been eliminating commercial cleaning products, and making my own environmentally friendly versions. I have found that in many cases they do a better job than the chemicals I was using and are much cheaper. I have recipes for everything from laundry detergent to window cleaner. I think there is interest out there for the product and it would be easy to compile the info and resources into an eBook. It would also be doing something to help the planet, or at the very least not hurt. Does anyone have a recipe to contribute?
