It is no secret that building links to your website is the key getting high quality traffic and to getting ranked highly by Google and the other search engines.
Before I share these tips on how to build links it is important to know how to find out how many links exist to your website. If you don’t already know how, you just enter your domain name in to Google and search. The results will be all of the links that Google has indexed for your site. Some results are typically left out of the results though. In order to know exactly how many links Google has for your site you will need to get their free webmaster tools.
If you are trying to drive traffic to your particular business opportunity, these tools are a must have. Once your account is open, just go to the dash board and select the pages with external links option to know how many websites are linked to you.

Get involved in your niche
If you are starting a new internet business opportunity and want to attract traffic to you site. The first step should be to get involved with other people who have chosen the same business opportunity.
What ever business you are in there are Blogs and Forums discussing your topic. By throwing yourself into the conversations that are already taking place you will not only pick up tips and tricks, but you will also build credibility.
With that credibility will come traffic from other members of the discussion, and with the traffic will come links. Of course you will have to have great content in your niche. On the internet you need to be fast, fluid, and flexible in order to draw the attention of your target market.
Publicize
A very effective way of bringing links to your new business opportunity is to write articles and submit them to the various online outlets. I try to write one article per day and submit it to all of the various ezine sites. I have already discussed article writing in prior post so I wont go into too much detail now. Believe me when I tell you it is a very effective way to get links and targeted traffic to your website.
In addition to writing articles, putting out press releases on your new business opportunity is another great way to get attention. You can do a press release online, or send it to your local paper. Many times they will pick up a story about a local entrepreneur and you will get loads of free advertising and traffic.
Social Networking
I have not used these services as much as I should, but they are the wave of the future, so you can be sure that I will be building my sites on places like Facebook and MySpace. But they aren’t the only social sites out there.StumbleUpon, Digg, and del.icio.us are also great sources of traffic that I have to admit I have under-utilized. I have used StumbleUpon and submitted some posts to them with good results.The key to those sites is to have great original content. Once you put it out to them the community will promote and link to your site. I have heard some great success stories from other bloggers who use them too, so I will continue to post great original content, and hope all of my readers submit me to those sites.These three steps are a good beginning to a solid link building strategy. They wont always get traffic to your site immediately, but with persistence you will build the back-links that are needed for your site and the traffic will start to come in. I have personally seen dramatic increases in traffic from my linking strategy. Making money in any business opportunity is a marathon, not a sprint. It is better to spend a few hours a day doing what works than to spend hours on end attempting a new scheme.Happy link building
