“Why Article Submission works”
I have already written about article submission but I wanted to reiterate how easy and effective it can be. The ultimate goal of Internet marketing is to generate traffic to your website. Weather you want to sell something or just let the world know you are here, traffic is the key.
Article submission accomplishes that in two ways. First you can write any story you want. I have actually written a how to about changing your oil, I was caught up in the writing frenzy. I have published essays that I wrote for college classes, and of course I have written on my favorite subject making money online. Oh yeah and I am getting paid on a per view basis for all of this…not so impressive until you factor in the following little tid-bit.
All of my articles have one thing in common, they all point back to this site, my home base if you will. My goal is to increase the readership of this Blog. It is the basis for all of my future internet plans. I have pretty much put everything else on hold to accomplish that goal.
How have the articles helped to further that goal you ask? Again it is a multifold answer, first the articles themselves have brought new readers to the site, and as we all know that is what this is about. More importantly it has created a link to my small little Blog from a much higher rated page. What has that done for me? My Blog is already indexed by Google, which means that Google is Crawling this site on a regular basis, along with the other search engines out there in search land. In fact my Blog was indexed by Google within 24 hours of posting my first article.
This is great because of my next topic and new love SEO.
“The Secret of SEO Revealed”
SEO stands for search engine optimization. Simply put it is designing a web page to be search engine friendly, in order to rank higher in the search results based on key words like make money online, work from home, selling on eBay. You get the idea.
SEO is sort of like a game of cat and mouse. The search engine companies don’t want to tell us what they look for, and we in the web development business want to know as much about it as possible. They change the criteria to tweak the system, and we have to figure out what they are doing.
There are some secretes that are around, I am going to be revealing them on this site as we go along. I am also developing an eBook titled “The SEO Secret Revealed”, I am developing an entire step by step tutorial for beginners to get the most out of their websites.
Is it worth it? I can tell you of a friend that sells reconditioned theater chairs on the Internet for home theaters (see you can sell anything on the Internet). He sells close to $3,000,000.00 per year worth of used chairs, go figure. At any rate, when he first started to develop his site he got some SEO information, and it fascinated me. From his efforts, his site is consistently ranked in the top 4 or 5 sites for his niche.
The amazing difference is that when his site is ranked number 1, the phone rings off the hook. When his competitors tweak their sites and they bump him from the top of the list, business dies. Now, granted he is in a very specialized niche market so there may not be enough to go around to more than one or two players, but even in a broad market, the difference between number one and number two can be tremendous.
My book and tutorials are in development at the moment. I am having the graphics done as I sit here typing. I intend to sell the book and tutorials in the range of $50 to $100.
